The Tennessee Firearms Association is Tennessee’s only no-compromise gun rights organization. Founded in 1995, we’ve been on the front lines defending our constitutional freedoms through strategic legislation, legal challenges, and grassroots pressure. We’re not a political machine — we’re Tennesseans. Veterans, business owners, law enforcement officers, and families united by a shared commitment to liberty.
We believe the Second Amendment means exactly what it says. It’s not up for reinterpretation, delay, or negotiation. We fight for the citizen’s right to self-defense, for transparency in government, and for the power of the people to hold elected officials accountable. We don’t compromise — we confront. And we do it without apology.
Every day, TFA watches what others ignore. We read the bills. We expose the betrayals. We mobilize Tennesseans to call their lawmakers, and we walk the halls of the Capitol ourselves. When unconstitutional laws are passed, we support lawsuits to strike them down. When weak legislation is proposed, we make it stronger — or stop it in its tracks. Whether it’s in the courts, the legislature, or the public square, we show up, speak out, and push back.
TFA exists because of members — not lobbyists, not corporate sponsors, and definitely not government grants. That independence gives us the power to say what needs to be said and fight where others won’t. When you join TFA, you’re not backing a brand. You’re joining a mission — and becoming part of something bigger than yourself.
What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.
Thomas Jefferson
